Abstract

Abstract: This article examines the potential role of chess in developing intellectual skills relevant to legal practice. It considers the relationship between chess and legal reasoning, with particular attention to logical analysis, strategic planning, critical thinking, risk assessment, and decision-making. The article also discusses the possible use of chess as a supplementary educational activity for law students. It argues that chess may provide useful opportunities to practise structured thinking, while emphasizing that chess proficiency alone does not guarantee professional competence in law.
