Abstract

Abstract: This study explores the economic miracle and global expansion of the People's Republic of China (PRC), which transformed from an impoverished, agrarian society in the late 20th century into the world’s second-largest economy today. The research examines the key historical and modern milestones - from Deng Xiaoping’s “Reform and Opening-Up” policies of 1978 to Xi Jinping’s modern “Belt and Road Initiative” (BRI). By benchmarking China’s GDP, trade volume, and technological outputs against leading Western economies such as the United States, the European Union, and Japan, this paper analyzes the mechanisms driving China’s global reach and its strategic integration into Eurasia, Africa, and Latin America.
