THE ROLE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become one of the most transformative
technologies in modern education. In English language teaching, AI provides
innovative opportunities for improving learning outcomes, personalizing instruction,
and increasing students' motivation. Intelligent tutoring systems, chatbots, speech
recognition software, machine translation, and adaptive learning platforms enable
learners to practice language skills more effectively than traditional methods alone. AI
also assists teachers in lesson planning, assessment, and classroom management. This
article examines the role of artificial intelligence in English language teaching,
highlights its advantages and challenges, and discusses future perspectives for
integrating AI into language education.
