Abstract

This article examines the formulation of pediatric toothpastes as a cornerstone of
preventive dentistry. The study analyzes the chemical properties and safety profiles of
fluorides, xylitol, abrasive agents, and preservatives. It establishes specific guidelines
for fluoride dosages and Relative Dentin Abrasivity (RDA) levels across various age
groups (from 0 to 12 years). Furthermore, the research provides a scientific rationale
for the impact of ingredient selection on developing dental enamel and offers evidence
based recommendations for both clinicians and parents to ensure optimal oral health
in children.
