Tabiiy xom-ashyo, sanoat chiqindilari, shuningdek, sintetik yarim
mahsulotlarni kimyoviy yoʻl bilan qayta ishlab, isteʼmol mahsulotlari va ishlab
chiqarish vositalariga aylantirishning iqtisodiy va ekologik jihatdan qulay usullari va
jarayonlaridir. Kimyoviy texnologiya usullari va jarayonlarining fizik-kimyoviy
sharoitlarini tekshirish, texnologik jarayonlarning sxemalarini ishlab chiqish, asbob va
uskunalarning tuzilishi va ularni tayyorlash uchun zarur materiallarni aniqlash
kimyoviy texnologiyaning vazifasidir. Har qanday kimyoviy texnologiya jarayonining
asosiy elementlari — xom-ashyo, energiya, asbob va uskunalardir. Kimyo,
metallurgiya, qurilish materiallari, yoqilgʻi, toʻqimachilik, kon, oziq-ovqat va boshqa
