EFFECTIVENESS OF USING INTERACTIVE METHODS IN MATHEMATICS EDUCATION: A MODERN APPROACH

This article examines the effectiveness of integrating interactive teaching
methods into mathematics education. Traditional teaching models often lead to passive
learning and low engagement in abstract mathematical concepts. This study
investigates how interactive methods—such as problem-based learning (PBL),
mathematical modeling, and digital gamification—enhance students' critical thinking,
spatial reasoning, and academic performance. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach
with a sample of 120 secondary school students, the research compares traditional
lecture-based instruction with interactive methodologies. The results indicate a
significant increase in both conceptual understanding and student motivation,
suggesting that interactive environments bridge the gap between abstract mathematical
theory and practical application.
