Abstract

In the era of rapid technological development, digital literacy has become one
of the fundamental competencies required for individuals to function effectively in
modern society. The expansion of digital technologies, online communication, and
information systems has transformed education, employment, healthcare, and
everyday life. This article explores the significance of digital literacy, its role in
personal and professional development, and its impact on social participation and
economic growth. The study emphasizes that digital literacy is no longer limited to
basic computer skills but includes critical thinking, information evaluation,
cybersecurity awareness, and responsible digital citizenship.
