INFORMATION ABOUT THE TRIGONOMETRIC TABLE
Keywords:
trigonometry, trigonometric table, sine, cosine, tangent, cotangent, special angles, unit circle, trigonometric function, mathematical literacy.Abstract
This article discusses the concept and structure of the trigonometric table, the
values of the basic trigonometric functions at special angles, and its importance in
mathematics education. A systematic study of sine, cosine, tangent, and cotangent
values at 0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, and 90° helps students simplify trigonometric expressions,
solve equations, and perform calculations in geometry. The article emphasizes that
trigonometric values should not be taught only through memorization, but should also
be explained using right triangles, the unit circle, and relationships among
trigonometric functions. In addition, typical errors encountered when using
trigonometric tables and practical recommendations for preventing them are
considered.
