Mazkur maqolada UPOV (International Union for the Protection
of New Varieties of Plants) tomonidan ishlab chiqilgan TG/46/7 “Guidelines for the
Conduct of Tests for Distinctness, Uniformity and Stability. Onion (Allium cepa L.)”
yo‘riqnomasining ilmiy va amaliy ahamiyati tahlil qilingan. Yo‘riqnomada tavsiya
etilgan DUS (Distinctness, Uniformity and Stability) sinovlarining maqsadi, yangi
piyoz navlarini baholash tamoyillari hamda seleksiya jarayonidagi o‘rni yoritilgan.
Distinctness, Uniformity va Stability mezonlari seleksion nuqtai nazardan baholanib,
ularning navlarni identifikatsiya qilish, davlat reyestriga kiritish va seleksion
yutuqlarni huquqiy muhofaza qilishdagi ahamiyati ochib berilgan. Shuningdek,
yo‘riqnomada keltirilgan morfologik belgilar tizimi, kuzatuv usullari va baholash
mezonlari ilmiy adabiyotlar bilan qiyosiy tahlil qilingan. Tahlillar natijasida TG/46/7
yo‘riqnomasi piyoz seleksiyasida boshlang‘ich manbalarni tavsiflash, genetik xilma
xillikni baholash va istiqbolli genotiplarni tanlashda ishonchli metodik asos bo‘lib
xizmat qilishi aniqlandi. Mazkur metodikadan foydalanish seleksiya natijalarining
aniqligi va takrorlanuvchanligini oshiradi, navlarni xalqaro standartlar asosida
tavsiflash imkonini beradi hamda zamonaviy seleksiya va urug‘chilik tizimini
takomillashtirishga xizmat qiladi. UPOV metodikasi asosida olib borilgan DUS
sinovlari yangi navlarning biologik xususiyatlarini xolis baholash, ularni mavjud
