This article examines the psychological impact of digital
transformation on professional self-determination. The development of artificial
intelligence, automation, remote work, digital learning platforms, and algorithmic
recommendation systems has significantly transformed career choice processes. Based
on data from the World Economic Forum, OECD, and McKinsey Global Institute, the
study analyzes how labor market changes influence young people's career decisions.
Drawing on Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT), self-efficacy, and career
adaptability concepts, the psychological mechanisms of professional self
determination in the digital era are explored. The findings indicate that adaptability,
lifelong learning, and continuous competency development are becoming key
determinants of career success in the context of digital transformation.
