Learning English as a foreign language is a complex process that
requires consistent practice, motivation, and effective learning strategies. Many
learners face difficulties in mastering grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, listening,
speaking, reading, and writing skills. These challenges often lead to repeated mistakes
that can hinder language development if not addressed properly. This article examines
the most common mistakes made by English language learners and explores effective
strategies for correcting them. Special attention is given to the role of teachers, learner
autonomy, and modern educational technologies in improving language proficiency.
The findings suggest that systematic error correction, continuous practice, and the use
of communicative teaching methods significantly enhance English language
acquisition.
