This scientific article examines the influence of modern digital
technologies on face-to-face communication in contemporary society. The rapid
development of smartphones, social media platforms, and online communication tools
has significantly transformed interpersonal interaction patterns. While these
technologies provide efficiency, accessibility, and global connectivity, they also
contribute to a noticeable decline in direct human communication. The study analyzes
psychological, social, and communicative consequences of this shift, highlighting both
advantages and disadvantages. The research is based on theoretical analysis of
academic sources and observations of modern communication behavior. The findings
suggest that although technology enhances communication speed, it simultaneously
weakens emotional depth and interpersonal engagement in real-life interactions.
