Abstract

Abstract: Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) remain the leading cause of mortality worldwide. The traditional treatment strategy based on standardized protocols often fails to account for individual genetic, phenotypic, and metabolic characteristics of the patient, leading to reduced therapy efficacy and the development of side effects. This article discusses the concept of personalized medicine (PM) as a new standard of cardiac care. Modern approaches are analyzed, including pharmacogenomics, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) for "omics" data analysis, and the use of multimodal imaging. It is shown that the integration of these methods allows for patient risk stratification, optimization of lipid-lowering and anticoagulant therapy selection, and prediction of surgical intervention outcomes. Special attention is paid to the challenges of implementing PM into routine clinical practice, including economic barriers and the need to create large biobanks.
