Abstract: The digital economy has increased the economic importance of data, making data analytics an important tool for transforming digital information into productive and innovative outcomes. This study examines the role of data analytics in economic growth through a review of recent academic and institutional literature published primarily between 2021 and 2026. It focuses on three key mechanisms: productivity improvement, data-driven innovation, and data-informed decision-making. The literature indicates that the economic value of data depends not only on its availability but also on analytical capabilities, digital infrastructure, organizational capacity, and appropriate institutional conditions. The study further identifies the evolution of research from firm-level data-driven innovation toward broader analyses of productivity and economic performance. It concludes that data analytics can contribute to economic growth when economies and organizations are able to effectively transform data into productive knowledge and innovation.
