Annotation. This article examines whether a translation can ever surpass the original text by exploring linguistic, cultural, and aesthetic dimensions of translation. Drawing on major translation theories, it analyzes the translator's creative role, the balance between fidelity and artistic expression, and the circumstances under which a translated work may achieve greater literary or cultural impact than its source.
