Abstract

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is frequently accompanied by extraintestinal manifestations (EIMs), with peripheral arthropathies being among the most common. While clinical observations link gut inflammation to joint pathologies (the "gut-joint axis"), the detailed microstructural and quantitative cellular alterations in hip joint tissues remain incompletely understood.
