Abstract

Collaborative learning has become one of the most influential instructional approaches in English language education. It encourages students to work together to achieve common learning goals, promotes active participation, and creates meaningful opportunities for communication. Unlike traditional teacher-centered instruction, collaborative learning places students at the center of the learning process, allowing them to develop language proficiency through interaction with their peers. This approach has been shown to improve speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills while increasing motivation, confidence, and academic achievement. This article discusses the impact of collaborative learning on English language achievement, its theoretical background, classroom applications, benefits, challenges, and recommendations for effective implementation.
