Abstract

This research paper provides an in-depth and comprehensive study of John Keats, one of the most influential poets of English Romantic literature. The study focuses on his biography, intellectual development, poetic philosophy, and artistic achievements. Keats’s poetry is widely recognized for its emotional intensity, vivid imagery, and deep exploration of beauty, imagination, mortality, and human experience.

The research further examines how Keats transformed ordinary human emotions into powerful poetic expressions through sensuous language and symbolic meaning. Special attention is given to his major odes, which represent the highest point of his poetic career. The concept of “negative capability,” introduced by Keats, is also analyzed as an important contribution to literary theory and philosophical thought.

In addition, the paper incorporates scholarly interpretations from literary critics who have evaluated Keats’s work from different perspectives. The study demonstrates that Keats’s poetry combines aesthetic beauty, emotional depth, and philosophical reflection, making it one of the most enduring contributions to world literature.
