Abstract

This article comprehensively and comparatively analyzes the artistic and aesthetic essence of the “star” metaphor in Uzbek poetry, its multi-layered symbolic meanings, and its place in the work of poets of different periods.

The research reveals the development of the star symbol from classical poetry to modern literature, its substantive and functional changes. In particular, it is scientifically revealed that in classical literature the star was interpreted more as a symbol of a romantic and aesthetic ideal, divine beauty, and unattainable vision, while in modern poetry it has become a multi-meaning image expressing a person’s inner world, spiritual suffering, life quests, and philosophical observations.
