This article examines the role of toponymical idioms in the formation and development of ethnic stereotypes in language and culture. Toponymical idioms, which contain geographical names, reflect historical experiences, cultural perceptions, and collective attitudes toward particular nations, regions, or communities. The study analyzes how such idiomatic expressions preserve cultural memory and influence intercultural communication by shaping positive or negative stereotypes. Through linguistic and semantic analysis, the article explores the connection between language, mentality, and ethnic identity. Particular attention is given to the evaluative meanings embedded in toponymical idioms and their impact on social perception.
