EFFECTIVE METHODS OF TEACHING ENGLISH (ESP)

Abstract

This article analyzes effective methods of teaching English for specific purposes (ESP – English for Specific Purposes) and their importance in the educational process. The modern labor market requires specialists to have the skills of fluent communication in foreign languages, along with professional knowledge. Therefore, ESP courses are aimed at developing language competencies of students suitable for their future professional activities. The article highlights the effectiveness of the communicative approach, project method, CLIL technology, the use of information and communication technologies, problem-based learning and collaborative learning methods. It also shows the role of these methods in increasing student motivation, mastering professional terminology and developing practical speaking skills. The results of the study confirm that the use of innovative methods in ESP education serves to improve the quality of the educational process.
