Abstract

The growing demand for qualified specialists in a globalized labor market has increased the importance of foreign language proficiency, particularly English, in vocational and technical education. One of the major challenges faced by technical college students is the acquisition and practical application of profession-related vocabulary. This article examines the significance of integrating professional vocabulary into English language instruction in technical colleges. The study discusses effective pedagogical strategies for teaching occupational terminology through contextualized learning, project-based activities, communicative tasks, and digital technologies. Furthermore, the article highlights the role of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) in preparing students for future professional communication. The findings suggest that systematic integration of professional vocabulary enhances students’ linguistic competence, motivation, and career readiness.
