Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed language learning by providing personalized, interactive, and technology-enhanced educational experiences. AI-powered applications such as intelligent tutoring systems, speech recognition software, chatbots, and adaptive learning platforms enable learners to improve their language skills more efficiently than traditional methods alone. This study examines the role of artificial intelligence in language learning by reviewing current educational research and digital learning practices. The findings indicate that AI improves learners’ motivation, pronunciation, vocabulary acquisition, grammar accuracy, and independent learning skills. However, challenges such as data privacy, limited human interaction, and overdependence on technology remain important concerns. The study concludes that artificial intelligence should complement, rather than replace, teachers in modern language education.
