The increasing demand for qualified specialists capable of communicating effectively in English has significantly influenced language education in vocational institutions. Traditional grammar-based teaching methods are gradually being replaced by learner-centered approaches that emphasize practical communication. Among these, the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach has become one of the most effective methodologies for developing students' communicative competence. This article examines the importance of the communicative approach in teaching English in vocational education institutions. It discusses the theoretical foundations of CLT, its advantages, challenges, and practical applications in vocational education. Furthermore, the article highlights the role of teachers, authentic materials, interactive activities, and technology in enhancing communicative competence. The findings indicate that communicative language teaching significantly improves learners' speaking, listening, reading, writing, and professional communication skills, preparing them for successful careers in an increasingly globalized labor market.
