Abstract

Reading comprehension is a critical skill for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners, contributing to overall language proficiency and academic success. This article explores effective strategies for enhancing reading comprehension skills among EFL learners by reviewing current pedagogical approaches and empirical studies. Key strategies discussed include pre-reading activities, vocabulary instruc-tion, use of graphic organizers, and the integration of metacognitive strategies. The article also highlights the importance of culturally relevant materials and adaptive feedback in supporting learners’ comprehension development. Finally, practical recommendations for educators and implications for future research are provided to foster more effective reading instruction in EFL contexts.
