Abstract

This study highlights the important aspects that should be considered during the process of foreign language learning. It discusses the potential challenges that language learners may encounter and explains the differences that may arise between the target language and the learners’ native language . The study suggests that learning a new language involves more than mastering grammatical structures or developing wide range of  vocabulary. Effective language learning also requires the ability to communicate fluently and appropriately according to different social situations. Furthermore, successful communication depends on learners’ awareness of cultural values and their ability to use the target language with respect for its cultural norms. Therefore, the development of pragmatic competence and cultural awareness plays a significant role in achieving communicative success in foreign language learning.
