This paper analyzes the socioeconomic significance of teaching sewing skills within the vocational education and training (VET) system and evaluates the role of these competencies in securing graduate employment. Operating within the IMRAD (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion) framework, this study surveys 120 vocational graduates and evaluates local textile enterprise requirements. The empirical findings demonstrate that sewing proficiencies not only secure stable positions in large industrial settings but also serve as a strategic engine for self-employment, micro-entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment, particularly among women. The results suggest an urgent need to align vocational curricula with modern automated production lines.
