Abstract

Uzbekistan possesses rich and diverse natural resources characterized by deserts, mountains, rivers, valleys, forests, and unique ecosystems. The country's geographical position in Central Asia contributes significantly to its environmental diversity and biological wealth. Natural resources play an important role in supporting economic development, agriculture, tourism, and the overall well-being of society. However, environmental degradation, climate change, desertification, water scarcity, pollution, and human activities have created serious ecological challenges in recent decades. The preservation and sustainable use of natural resources have become critical priorities for ensuring environmental stability and improving the quality of life for future generations. This study examines the natural features of Uzbekistan, analyzes environmental challenges, and highlights the necessity of implementing effective conservation measures.
