Abstract

·             This article explores the psychological and cognitive characteristics of primary school students (aged 7–10) and their impact on foreign language acquisition. It highlights the importance of short attention spans, concrete thinking, imitative abilities, and emotional motivation in young learners. The paper analyzes highly effective, age-appropriate teaching methodologies, including Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), Total Physical Response (TPR), play-based learning, songs, chants, and the use of realia. Additionally, it examines the critical role of the teacher as a facilitator and the importance of implementing structured classroom management to build a supportive, low-anxiety learning environment.
