This article explores the significant role of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) in enhancing students’ English language proficiency. It examines the fundamental principles of the communicative approach and its effectiveness in developing the four essential language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The study highlights how interactive classroom activities, collaborative learning, and real-life communication tasks contribute to greater learner engagement, confidence, and linguistic competence. Furthermore, the article discusses the importance of creating a student-centered learning environment that encourages active participation and meaningful language use. The findings suggest that the implementation of communicative teaching strategies significantly improves language acquisition and prepares learners to communicate effectively in academic, professional, and everyday contexts.
