DEVELOPING CRITICAL THINKING IN EFL STUDENTS THROUGH PROJECT-BASED LEARNING (PBL)

This article analyzes the importance of the Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach in developing critical thinking skills in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students and pupils. In the modern education system, one of the important tasks is to form students' independent thinking, problem-solving skills and creative approaches. The PBL methodology allows students to complete tasks based on real-life situations, work collaboratively and defend their opinions based on evidence. The article covers the theoretical foundations of the PBL approach, its practical application in EFL lessons and its impact on the development of critical thinking. It also shows effective methods and pedagogical advantages of organizing project activities. The results of the study show that the use of PBL technology, along with the development of language competencies, significantly increases the level of critical thinking of students.
