THE IMPORTANCE OF THE COMMUNICATIVE APPROACH IN TEACHING ENGLISH TO TECHNICAL SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract

This article analyzes the importance of the communicative approach in teaching English to college students. In the modern education system, the development of communicative competence in teaching foreign languages ​​is one of the priority tasks. The article covers the theoretical foundations of the communicative approach, its advantages, and practical application among college students. It also explains the role of this approach in teaching students to communicate freely, develop listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing skills based on examples. The effectiveness of communicative methods in the teaching process and their importance in increasing students' readiness for professional activity are shown.
