Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive overview of infectious diseases and their preventive measures in modern healthcare. Infectious diseases are caused by pathogenic microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites, and they continue to pose a serious threat to global public health. The article explains the main types of infectious diseases, their modes of transmission, risk factors, and their impact on individuals and society. It also highlights the importance of preventive strategies such as vaccination, personal hygiene, sanitation, public health education, and quarantine measures. In addition, the role of modern medicine, healthcare systems, and international cooperation in controlling and preventing infectious diseases is discussed in detail. The article emphasizes that prevention is more effective and safer than treatment.
