Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive overview of the main causes of speech delay in children, their classification, clinical symptoms and psychological characteristics. The biological, neurological, psychological and social factors of speech development disorders are analyzed in depth. It also provides information on early detection of speech delay, diagnostic methods, organization of preventive measures and ways of speech therapy and pedagogical correction. The article emphasizes the interrelationship of the family environment, the educational process and the medical approach in the development of speech in children.
