Abstract

The Finnish education system is internationally recognized for its emphasis on equality, student-centered learning, teacher autonomy, and holistic development. In recent years, Uzbekistan has initiated several educational reforms aimed at modernizing classroom instruction and improving educational quality. This study examines the opportunities and challenges of applying selected elements of the Finnish education system within Uzbek public schools. Using a qualitative comparative approach supported by interviews, questionnaires, and classroom observations, the study analyzes participant perspectives from two public schools in Namangan. The findings suggest that collaborative learning, classroom interaction, and student-centered approaches may positively influence motivation and engagement when adapted realistically according to local educational conditions. However, practical limitations such as examination pressure, classroom size, and limited resources remain significant challenges.
