Abstract

This study examines the theoretical foundations of creative research in the architecture of Uzbekistan during the twentieth century. The research explores how architects developed innovative design approaches while maintaining connections with national architectural traditions and cultural heritage. Throughout the twentieth century, Uzbekistan experienced significant political, social, and technological transformations that influenced architectural theory and practice. The study analyzes the role of creative experimentation in shaping architectural forms, urban planning concepts, and construction methods under changing historical conditions. Particular attention is given to the interaction between traditional architectural principles and modernist trends introduced during the Soviet period. The findings indicate that creative research played a crucial role in the formation of a distinctive architectural identity, allowing architects to reinterpret historical forms through contemporary design solutions. The study concludes that the theoretical foundations of creative architectural research in Uzbekistan were based on the synthesis of cultural continuity, technological innovation, environmental adaptation, and artistic expression, which continue to influence contemporary architectural development.
