This article examines the theoretical and practical foundations of developing global competencies in higher education students and their role in activating creative thinking. The study analyzes the conceptual framework of global competencies, their structural components, and the psychological-pedagogical conditions necessary for fostering creative thinking. The article explores innovative pedagogical methods — including project-based learning, collaborative problem-solving, and intercultural dialogue — that effectively stimulate students' creative potential. Drawing on Uzbek scholarly literature and pedagogical research, the paper demonstrates that the systematic integration of global competency-oriented approaches into the educational process significantly enhances students' capacity for original thinking, critical analysis, and innovative solution generation. The findings contribute to the ongoing reform of higher education in Uzbekistan and offer practical recommendations for educators seeking to cultivate globally competent, creatively active graduates.
