Abstract

This article analyzes the structural and semantic features of euphemistic units in English and Uzbek languages. The study focuses on their morphological patterns, lexical formation, and communicative functions in discourse. Euphemisms are classified into monolexemic and polylexemic types, including words, phrases, and idiomatic expressions. The research identifies key structural models and highlights differences between the two languages. Results show that euphemisms play an important role in softening speech and maintaining cultural and social norms.
