Abstract

Transport insurance is an essential component of a modern economy, ensuring financial protection against risks associated with transportation activities. As Uzbekistan continues to modernize its transport infrastructure and expand international trade relations, the importance of transport insurance has significantly increased. However, despite substantial reforms in the insurance sector, transport insurance remains underdeveloped compared to international standards. This study analyzes the current state of transport insurance in Uzbekistan and identifies key challenges hindering its development. Using analytical and comparative research methods, the paper examines international best practices and proposes practical measures for improving the efficiency, accessibility, and competitiveness of transport insurance services. The findings indicate that digitalization, regulatory reforms, public awareness campaigns, product diversification, and enhanced cooperation between public and private stakeholders are crucial factors for sustainable development. The implementation of these measures will contribute to increased insurance penetration, better risk management, and stronger financial security for transport operators and vehicle owners.
