Abstract

This article examines metaphorical expressions from a cognitive linguistic perspective, focusing on the relationship between language, thought, and conceptual structure. The study analyzes how metaphors function not only as stylistic devices but also as cognitive mechanisms that shape human understanding and perception of reality. Special attention is paid to the theory of conceptual metaphor and the role of metaphorical mapping in organizing abstract concepts through concrete experiences.
