METHODS FOR STABILIZING WATER FLOW IN RESERVOIR INLET CHANNELS
Keywords:
reservoir, inlet channel, hydraulic stability, flow velocity, turbulence, energy losses, stabilization methods.Abstract
This article analyzes the theoretical foundations for maintaining the stability of water flow in reservoir inlet channels. Flow non-uniformity, hydraulic losses, turbulence, and velocity gradients significantly affect the operational efficiency of hydraulic structures. The study theoretically substantiates methods for flow stabilization through optimization of channel cross-section geometry, the use of flow-guiding structures, and reduction of hydraulic resistance. The proposed approaches improve the hydraulic regime of the reservoir, reduce erosion risks, and enhance the efficiency of water resource utilization.
