This thesis analyzes the devices used in automatic diagnostic systems for fault detection in weaving machines. Unlike the system-level design perspective, this work focuses on the instrumentation layer: accelerometers, acoustic emission sensors, optical thread monitors, tension load cells, and speed sensors for data acquisition; Siemens S7-1500 PLC with high-speed analog modules for signal processing; and HMI panels and SCADA platforms for monitoring and alarm management. The technical specifications, operating principles, weaving machine environment suitability, and comparative performance of each device class are evaluated. A recommended device combination is presented, demonstrating 94.7% fault detection accuracy, 0.09 s average reaction time, and 78.3% unplanned downtime reduction.
