WHY IS SPEAKING ENGLISH DIFFICULT FOR STUDENTS LIVING IN THE CIS?

English has become the global language of communication, education, science, and business. Despite studying English for many years, many students living in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) experience difficulties in speaking the language fluently. This article examines the major factors that influence English-speaking ability among CIS students, including limited opportunities for practice, fear of making mistakes, differences between English and native languages, and educational approaches. The article also provides recommendations for improving speaking skills through regular practice and modern learning methods.
