Abstract

This article analyzes modern methodological methods that serve to develop students' critical thinking skills in English lessons. In the current education system, students' independent thinking, the ability to analyze problems, draw conclusions based on evidence, and justify their opinions are considered one of the important competencies. In this regard, the importance of innovative pedagogical approaches aimed at developing critical thinking in English lessons is highlighted. The article examines the advantages of methods such as "Debate", "Case Study", "Problem-Based Learning", "Think-Pair-Share", "Six Thinking Hats" and their practical application. The results of the study show that the effective use of these methods develops students' communicative competence, creative approach, and independent decision-making ability.
