his article presents a comparative stylistic analysis of lexical economy in English and Uzbek. The research focuses on identifying universal and language-specific mechanisms that enable speakers to express maximum meaning with minimum linguistic forms. The study examines the influence of typological differences between English as an analytic language and Uzbek as an agglutinative language on the realization of lexical economy. Particular attention is paid to metaphor, ellipsis, phraseological units, abbreviations, and morphological condensation. The findings indicate that both languages demonstrate a common tendency toward semantic compression, although they rely on different structural resources. The results are relevant for comparative linguistics, stylistics, translation studies, and language teaching methodology.
