DEVELOPING ORAL COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE THROUGH INTERACTIVE SPEAKING ACTIVITIES IN EFL CLASSROOMS

This article examines the role of interactive speaking activities in developing oral communicative competence among undergraduate students studying English as a Foreign Language (EFL). The study highlights the importance of oral communication skills in academic and professional settings and explores effective classroom techniques for improving speaking performance. Special attention is given to discussion-based learning, role plays, presentations, debates, and collaborative tasks. The article argues that interactive speaking activities increase learners’ confidence, fluency, accuracy, and communicative effectiveness. The findings suggest that learner-centered approaches create meaningful opportunities for authentic language use and significantly contribute to oral language development
