This article examines the crucial role of teachers in creating a student-centered English learning environment. Student-centered learning has become a dominant educational approach because it promotes active participation, learner autonomy, collaboration, critical thinking, and communicative competence. The study analyzes the theoretical foundations of student-centered education, explores the responsibilities of English language teachers, and discusses effective strategies for implementing learner-centered instruction. The article also identifies challenges associated with student-centered teaching and provides recommendations for educators. The findings indicate that teachers remain central to the learning process despite the increasing emphasis on learner autonomy. Their ability to facilitate learning, motivate students, manage classroom interactions, and integrate technology significantly influences educational outcomes.References
