Abstract

This article examines the role of toponyms in literary texts and analyzes their functional-semantic characteristics based on Ulugbek Hamdam’s short story “Lola.” Furthermore, the study explores the representation of space, the symbolic nature of place names, and their relationship with human psychology in the story. It also elucidates the aesthetic and philosophical significance of the toponymic units employed by the author.
