Abstract

This article analyzes the theoretical foundations and practical significance of the communicative approach in teaching a foreign language. The main goal of the communicative approach is to form students' skills of free and effective communication in a foreign language. The article highlights the advantages of this approach, the methods used in the lesson process, and its role in developing students' speech competence. The role of classes organized on the basis of the communicative method in increasing educational effectiveness is also analyzed.
