Abstract

This article analyzes the role and importance of motivation in the language learning process. Motivation is considered an important factor that increases students' interest in acquiring new knowledge, encourages them to study regularly and work on themselves. The article covers the types of internal and external motivation, their impact on the effectiveness of language learning, and methods for forming motivation. It also considers the issues of increasing students' interest in language learning through the teacher's motivating activities, the use of modern pedagogical technologies, and the creation of a practical communication environment. The results of the study show that students with high motivation master foreign languages ​​faster and more effectively. The development of motivation in language education is an important condition for the formation of students' communicative competence and improving the quality of education.
